About me:
Hi, I’m Jacqui, welcome to my website! I have over 20 years of experience providing community-based treatment to children and families. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with youth and families who have been exposed to trauma. I believe the most effective therapeutic services are trauma-informed and rooted in empathy, compassion, and respect. I provide therapy, advocacy, and seminars, directed at developing and implementing a trauma informed approach while supporting self-care and enhancing wellness.

Intensive Family Services
Family members and loved ones of individual(s) with substance use and mental health disorders often put their own needs aside, while putting much of their focus on the individual(s) with said struggles. Getting caught up in the behaviors of others - always worrying - can be taxing, confusing, chaotic. We want the lives of our loved ones to be different, we want our lives to be different, and it can feel like nothing we have done has brought about change. Caregivers and loved ones can greatly benefit from taking steps to prioritize their own health. Taking the time to take care of ourselves can also have substantial benefits on the family as a whole. By supporting ourselves, we are supporting the whole family.
Home and Community-Based Services
It can be difficult for some people to get to the office for an appointment. Home and community-based therapy sessions typically take place at your home or wherever is convenient for you. Together, we can decide where to have sessions, whether we meet at your home, in a park, or discuss treatment while on a walk. The benefit is mutual, as the therapeutic relationship can develop more quickly when working outside of the confines of an office. The ability to be with you in your space can help build strong connections, allowing healing to happen more easily. New, large, or busy families; teenagers; and individuals can all benefit from home and community-based services. Connect with me to further discuss which therapeutic options are right for you.

“You don’t have to be positive all the time. It’s perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared, or anxious. Having feelings doesn’t make you a ‘negative person.’ It makes you human.”
