Individual Therapy
Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy, is a collaborative process. Individuals seeking therapy can often find themselves burnt-out, depressed, anxious, and/or overwhelmed. You may be inspired to make a specific change or you may just have a desire to improve your quality of life. Individual Therapy can help you overcome obstacles to your well-being, it can help you establish and strengthen your boundaries, increase your positive thoughts and feelings, and can help provide you with skills to overcome difficult situations. Individual Therapy aims to help you increase your understanding of yourself by connecting previous experiences of trauma and culture to your current relationships and conflicts, while developing an increased senses of love and appreciation for yourself.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is designed to address specific issues that affect the psychological health of the family as a whole. It can help you come together as a family and navigate stressful situations such as major life transitions, behavioral concerns, or other mental health concerns. It may be used as the primary mode of treatment or as a complementary approach to youth or individual therapies. Just like with individual therapy, family therapy aims to increase your understanding of your own family dynamics by connecting previous experiences of trauma and culture to your current conflicts. Family therapy can help members align their goals, set and strengthen their boundaries, increase their positive thoughts and feelings, provide individualized skills everyone can use. Most noteably, it can help develop an increased sense of love and appreciation for yourself and for each another.
Youth and Teen Therapy
Youth and young adults experience a unique set of challenges. Teens today are dealing with issues the previous generations never had to worry about. They are under increasing pressure to succeed, stresses from social media, pressure from peers, and may experience struggles returning to post-pandemic life. These experiences have significant impacts on young people’s mental health. Studies show the importance of providing specialized education, care, and support to help youth navigagte thier current and unprecedented circumstances. Fortunately, the stigma around mental health is lifting and today’s teens are more open to seeking therapy than previous generations. I am quite passionate about ensuring youth transition to adulthood with the tools required to maintain a sense of self-confidence and well-being.
I’m not like a regular therapist, I’m a cool therapist. Therapy with me may look a little different than you’re used to. Our sessions often involve listening to music, art and crafts, playing games, and otherwise having fun while we talk about what’s going on. With a focus on developing a positive sense of self, therapy can help youth navigate the challenges of their lives with a sustainable sense of empowerment.
Services
The term psychotherapy comes from the Greek words for soul and healing and it is in that spirit that I approach therapy. Studies show there is no one best therapeutic modality, rather it is the relationship between you and your therapist that creates the most positive and sustainable changes. My approach includes building that strong relationship with you, so you are comfortable sharing with me the parts of you you wish to improve. I know psychology, but only you are an expert in you. Together, we can collaborate on your goals and the steps you can take to reach them.

Home and Community-Based Services
It can be difficult for some people to get to an office for an appointment. Home and community-based therapy sessions typically take place at your home, or wherever is convenient for you. Together, we can decide to have sessions in the park or discuss treatment while on a walk. The benefit is mutual, as the therapeutic relationship can develop more quickly when working outside of the confines of an office. The ability to be with you in your space can help build strong connections, allowing healing to happen more easily. New, large, or busy families; teenagers; and individuals can all benefit from home and community-based services.
